Downtown Mile is a one-mile USA Track and Field certified course on High Street in Carlisle, PA. The one-mile race begins at the Subway Car Wash near the corner of High and Orange Streets and ends near the corner of High Street and Court House Avenue. In addition to the race on May 15, we will have a virtual race option from May 10-15. The event also includes a post-race Beer Garden (ages 21+) and a Kids Alley with activities and treats for the whole family.

The Carlisle Downtown Mile is a fundraiser for Employment Skills Center’s adult education and training programs. All of our programs and classes are offered to the community free of charge. These programs include Adult Basic Education, GED Preparation, English as a Second Language, and Workforce Development trainings such as Nurse Aide, EMT, Customer Service, Computer training and more. Presented annually by the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce, Jubilee Day is the largest, longest-running one-day street fair on the East Coast, attracting up to 70,000 attendees. The 94th edition of this annual event features more than 325 vendors from near and far, offering food, games, arts & crafts, business information, retail products, live entertainment on two stages throughout the day, and more! Admission is FREE.
The Jubilee Day festival takes place on Main Street from York Street to Walnut Street and on Market Street from Simpson Street to Strawberry Avenue.
Parking: A FREE shuttle bus service will be offered from two convenient locations: the Masonic Lodge, 910 South Market Street, and Immanuel Church, 800 South Market Street. The service runs from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Attendees will be dropped off at the corner of Simpson and Market Streets.
